It is with profound grief that AHA announces the passing away of its ex-president Surg RADM V K Singh,VSM (2006–2008 ) on 03 January 2024.

Surg RADM V K Singh was an alumnus of Armed Forces Medical College Pune, a qualified hospital administrator and a trained paratrooper. During his distinguished career in the Armed Forces Medical Services (AFMS) he served in various prestigious staff, command and instructional appointments earlier in the Army and later in the Navy Notable among these are his tenures in the elite 60 Para Field Hospital, Officers Training School , Lucknow and DGMS (Army), New Delhi. He had the distinction of serving on three foreign assignments of the Indian Army in various ranks He later commanded INHS Asvini Mumbai of the Indian Navy before his superannuation from the AFMS.
In his second innings he served with the QCI and later at IHHMR New Delhi as its founder director. InnovatioCuris was his brainchild -an organisation working in the field of healthcare-innovation. As a prominent thought leader and a prolific writer he authored two well-known books – Innovations in Healthcare Management -Cost effective and Sustainable Solutions “ and “Planning and Designing in Healthcare– A lean, innovative and evidence based approach”
His support and guidance was always available to AHA in all its activities
