air lifted and actively deployed during Super Cyclone Orissa in Jagatsinghpura
and other places in Orissa for Medical Relief work.
(m) Held appt of Commandant of, 92
Base Hospital (600 bed hospital) in J &K Valley in CI Ops (2001-2003 )
dealing with critical casualties of Counter insurgency like mine & IED
blast, grenade blast and multiple bullet injuries Established Neuro- Surgery
Centre, 30 bed Poly Trauma Centre, Poly Clinic. Was awarded Vishist Seva Medal
by President of India for exceptionally outstanding contribution and services
of highest standard.
(n) Appointed Deputy Director General
Armed Forces Medical Services (Personnel), Office of DGAFMS, Ministry of
Defence, New Delhi (June 2003- Nov 2004). Dealt with personnel management of
All Armed Forces Medical, Dental, & Nursing Officers, involving
recruitment, postings, foreign assignments/deputations, study leave, promotions,
complaints, legal matters etc.

General, Armed Forces Medical Services
(Addl DGAFMS ) Office of
Director General Armed Forces Medical Services, Ministry of Defence, New Delhi
( wef 18 Nov 2004 to 26 March 2006). Dealing with personnel matters of
all Medical Officers, Dental Officers, Nursing Officers of Army, Navy & Air
Force. Defence Civilians of Medical Stores Depot. Direct supervision of
Artificial Limb Centre and so on.
(p) Held appt of Deputy Commandant
& Chief Instructor, AMC Centre And
School, Lucknow ( 27 March
2006 – 3 April 2007) dealing with training of Medical Officers, Nursing
Officers, Dental Officers and ORs ( paramedical personnel of Armed Forces
Medical Services.
(q) Appointed DDMS, HQ Central Command,
Lucknow wef 4 April 2007 to 31
January 2009. During this
period responsible for over all Medical, Dental & Nursing services
and ECHS medical supplies in Army Hospitals, Dental Clinics, ECHS Units
located in UP, Uttarakhand, Jharkhand, Bihar, MP and Uttaranchal.
Disaster Management
(a)
Responsible for establishment of 50 bedded hospital ex a Mobile Field
Hospital) at
Jagatsinghpura, Orissa and deployment of Emergency Medical
Team in affected areas during Super Cyclone in Orissa.
(b) As
Additional DGAFMS, office of DGAFMS, Ministry of Defence, New Delhi
responsible for planning and coordination of emergency Medical Relief
Missions for Tsunami in Andaman & Nicobar
Islands, Coastal areas of Andhra, Tamil Nadu and for neighboring Asian
Countries – Sri Lanka, Indonesia and Maldives during Dec 2004.

Responsible for planning and coordination of provisioning and supply
of
Emergency Medical Relief material for Hurricane Katrina, USA in
Oct 2005.
(d) Coordinated
provision of Medical Relief Teams and supplies for Earthquake
victims in Kashmir.

planning and coordination of Medical Relief Mission during
‘White disaster’ (Snow Storm) in J & K (Jan 2005).
