Brig S M Garg is graduate from S N Medical College and did his MD(Hosp Adm) from Pune University. He joined Armed forces medical services IN JULY 1983 and carries with him 33 years of experience in health care delivery. He has done Hospital planning and designing capsule course and a short course on disaster management from Queensland University, Brisbane Australia.
He has vast experience of delivering first contact combait medical care including BLS in all tertian and climate as regimental medical officer. Post is PG degree MD in Hosp Adm; he managed materials management of tertiary care hospitals and planned procurement of medical equipment and acquisition of high end medical technology for all hospitals of AFMS.
He was pioneer in modernization of hospital equipment profile as RPO at DGAFMS and planning and coordinating the implementation of IT projects in health care delivery across hospitals and medical units of AFMS spread all over Indian continent at DGMS offices respectively.
He got CME credits of more than-400hours as delegate/faculty/speaker and has made presentation at various accredited workshop and has six publications of original articles to his credit published in national and international journals.
He has command 300 bedded general hospitals in field area. He has more than 20 years of teaching experience and has trained more than 1000 medical officers of AFMS in administration as instructor at officers training college luck now.
As Commander of training wing of AMC Centre & College he was responsible for technical trade training and testing of more than 2500 recruits paramedics inducted into services every year.
Presently he is Brig Med of Corps and responsible for planning, to administer and monitoring of comprehensive medical cover to troops deployed in vast area including state of Sikkim.
